Last week marked the big launch of the viral twitter campaign “Hwy 2 Heavenly”. iiD supported agency partner BBDO SF with the successful implementation of the Hwy 2 Heavenly Facebook app and mobile web page. Hwy 2 Heaven is a viral hashtag campaign and UGC contest that invites young men in San Francisco to post wacky photos of themselves and friends every Friday night at 6:00. The best photos are chosen by the brand to win a weekend trip to Heavenly, leaving within the hour in a branded Heavenly limo.
The social app iiD implemented pulls in all the Twitter buzz along with the tweeted photos to then allow resharing in Facebook to drive more awareness and traffic for the campaign. With a tight timeline (it finally snowed!), iiD launched both the Facebook app and a mobile web app without a hitch. With three more Fridays left in the campaign, all you SF people ought to give it a go and catch a ride on the limo to Heavenly!
